Grasslands are Better Than Beaches

By Vishruth, Year 5, Perth (Australia)

I strongly believe that grasslands are better than beaches because at the beach, you get itchy, and sand gets stuck to you, making your beautiful car dirty and sandy. Grasslands are better because they offer rich biodiversity and protect you from marine animals. They also provide more calmness compared to going to the beach and seeing someone get eaten by a shark. Have you ever drowned at a beach?

First, let’s talk about how grasslands don’t affect your skin, whereas on beaches, the sand gets so itchy that you scratch it until it starts bleeding. Based on my personal experience, I’ve encountered numerous problems, such as rough waves and itchy legs because of the sand. Moreover, many more people have died at beaches than in soft grass areas. Once, I went to the beach, and sand got everywhere on me because of the wind—it took a week to get it out of my stinky shoe.

Another point worth considering is that grasslands are less crowded than beaches, so it's more peaceful and not so BONKERS!!! Have you ever gone to the beach where you can’t hear your parents or even yourself? I definitely have. Grasslands provide more nature than beaches since there’s better air and fewer dangers like bombs and other unsafe things. Does your pet like grasslands or beaches? Fishing and other water activities can cause overpopulation at beaches. Have you changed your mind yet?

In conclusion, I’m confident in saying that grasslands don’t pose harm to humans, unlike beaches, which are affected by crowds, sharks, and BOMBS!!! These dangers are very real, and I hope I’ve changed your mind.
